As expected, it was a very warm and windy afternoon. Winds will stay up early this evening before settling down with added cloud cover as the night progresses. Look for overnight lows to settle in the lower 60s. We are still looking at a warm afternoon on Wednesday, but we should see more cloud cover. Winds will not be as strong and our highs should top out in the mid 80s again before a chance of rain moves into the area during the late afternoon hours. Heavy rains are expected through Thursday with as much as 2-3" of rain is possible. ~Siouxland's Chief Meteorologist Chad Sandwell
