Just because it's a party doesn't mean it has to only have
unhealthy food!
- If you're hosting the party, you have the most
control over what food is offered. If you just attending the party offer to
bring a healthier dish so you know you'll have a go-to option.
- Try to remember that the celebration isn't about
the food- it is about the big game.
- Before you begin eating, scan the table and take
a look at everything that is available. This way you will know exactly what you
want to put on your plate before you begin walking through the line.
- Look for special items that you only enjoy on
rare occasions. Everything in moderation can be part of a healthy lifestyle- so
remember portion control.
- If you will be drinking alcoholic drinks, make
sure you stay hydrated with low-calorie or calorie-free beverages, like water,
hot tea, ice tea or even diet soda.
- If you go overboard and you feel like you over
did it. Forgive yourself and move forward. You can make healthy choices at your
very next meal. One night of binging won't destroy your resolutions, so move
forward at your next meal.
- Try using low-fat products in any of the dips
you will take. Pair these with baked chips and you'll enjoy all of the flavor
for a fraction of the calories and fat. Offer to bring a relish tray and
low-fat dip. You would be surprised how many people want something light and
refreshing even at a game day party.

Avocados are packed full of nutrients, but they are also packed full of

all love, but reduces calories.
