CF Industries bids to take over Terra Industries may come to a halt, at least for now. CF says it will not extend its financing commitment beyond December 31st. CF has recently sold some Terra shares, but it continues to believe a takeover is in both companies' best interest. 

Terra has rejected several offers from CF this year.
