(SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE) Star quilts from across America are on display at the South Sioux City Library. The 5th Annual Siouxland Community Quilt Show is going on this weekend. You can stop by Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM to see all the handmade blankets. Every quilt tells a story - from the colors and styles to the history behind them.
"Some people have grandparents that quilted and maybe those were in an attic or something. But those again are a link with the past that once they're gone, they're gone," says Dan Nieman, SSC Library Assistant Director.
This year's theme: Star Quilts Across America. Some are made by local artists and others are almost 100 years old.
