Sioux City student athletes attended the annual "Pursuing Victory with Honor" summit at Morningside College. The summit brought together high school athletes, coaches and administrators for activities designed to strengthen character and encourage leadership. 

Iowa State head basketball coach Greg McDermott was the keynote speaker and hoped to teach young athletes how these characteristics are important to succeed in life both on and off the court.

This is the first time the summit was held in western Iowa.
