(DAKOTA CITY, NE) The South Sioux City man wanted in a 1997 murder case appeared in court again. Andrew Orellana is accused of shooting Joaquin Guerrero 12 years ago. The state requested the motion hearing for permission to use certain evidence at trial. The state wants to prove Orellana was in the Florencia 13 gang and shot Guerrero in retaliation, after another gang-related shooting between F-13 and the West Side Locos two days before. Four witnesses testified. Both sides have 24 hours to submit briefs before the judge rules on the motion.
