Girls, Inc. gets a big boost for it's book drive. The North High student council has been collecting books over the last week to donate to the non-profit. Summer is the busiest time for Girls, Inc and they are working to promote reading through the summer instead of taking a long break from learning. North High collected 1,600 books to help keep education going strong through the summer break. Girls, Inc. leaders say their book drive will continue as they build a mini-library in their new facility near Cook Park.
