The Sioux City Community School District is going green at a new school before the doors even open. Thursday morning the Sioux City school board awarded a bid for geothermal wells to heat the new Smith-Everett Elementary School. This technology will save the district hundreds of thousands of dollars over the next 20 years. Construction for the project starts April 1st.
