Democratic presidential hopeful Bill Richardson is traveling across Western Iowa in hopes of breaking out of his underdog status.
With only 8 days until the Iowa caucuses, the New Mexico governor needs to climb the campaign ladder.
Richardson spoke to a crowd of more than a 100 Wednesday night at Saint Lukes Hospital in Sioux City, addressing questions about subjects including the war in Iraq and human rights issues.
In regard to America's immigration issue, Richardson has some advice for Mexico's government.
" Give jobs to your people do something about poverty in your country... the great inequality... in the very least stop handing out maps and the easiest place to cross in the United States," says Richardson.
Richardson will be speaking in Denison and Carroll, Iowa Thursday.
