(SIOUX CITY, IA) Wedding season is just around the corner. But in these tough times, brides may worry about how they can have the wedding of their dreams and stay on budget. So we got some tips on how you can say "I do" at any price.
"Your perfect day is going to be less perfect if you feel like you've gone way overboard on your budget," says Kathy Zortman, owner of Pedal Pusher.
Kathy Zortman knows how important flowers can be on a bride's big day.
"They're truly a statement for the wedding," says Zortman.
For brides on a budget, don't give up on your dreams right away.
"Let's talk about the wedding of your dreams, let's price it out and let's go from there," says Zortman.
When it comes to the finance of flowers, be realistic.
"If they have a budget, they need to keep that mind when they determine the number of attendants," says Zortman.
From the flower shop to the bridal boutique, the perfect day isn't complete without the perfect dress.
"A lot of times the brides don't want to skimp on their dress," says Jessica Ness, owner of Happily Ever After.
Even if you're worried about the bottom line, you can still find the right fit.
"We have a rack where everything is discontinued so they're all half off. They're still the designer gowns. They're just ones the company is no longer making," says Ness.
Or consider a bridesmaid's dress in white or ivory for a more casual wedding.
"Just by putting the name bridal on it, the price is probably three times as much, even if the dresses are almost identical," says Ness.
From the dress to the flowers, the perfect wedding doesn't have to cost a lot.
"It can be fabulous at any price," says Zortman.
Here's something you may not realize: while traditionally wedding season kicks off in June, the current trend is going more toward the fall, with the biggest bridal months being September and October.
