Staples Promotional Products will cut 45 jobs at two Siouxland plants. On Wednesday, 23 workers in Hawarden, Iowa and 22 workers in Marcus, Iowa were given 30 days notice. A Staples spokesperson says the company is making changes due to the current economic environment. Leaders in Hawarden are moving quickly to help displaced employees find work. A company spokesperson also told us that employees will recieve a severance package and can apply for open positions at the Orange City Staples location.
