Two different storm systems are set to affect Siouxland and bring chances for precipitation through the rest of the week. Today, expect showers and fog to greet you as you head out the door this morning. As this system continues to push north, we'll begin to dry out late this morning and into the early afternoon. Under cloudy skies today, temperatures will reach into the upper 30s. Expect dry conditions for much of the night with temperatures dropping into the lower and middle 30s.
The forecast gets a little messy as we jump into Thursday. With our next system pushing north into Missouri, colder air will begin wrapping around keeping temperatures along and west of I-29 near freezing. This will mean for much of the morning, expect a rain/snow mix along and west of the 29 corridor. East if I-29, warmer air will be in place keeping all precip to fall in the form of rain. By mid morning, temperatures in Sioux City will be warm enough to support just rain and carry it into the afternoon. Highs temperatures tomorrow will only be in the middle and upper 30s.
